It's an acronym for 'before anyone else' and certainly has cemented itself into internet terminology. So I'd say yes.

I had no idea it was an acronym! I thought it was some ironic/strange shortening for "babe" that gradually got used seriously.

tbh I think most people think this as well! It certainly gets used in that context.

I feel so awkward when my 17 year old step sister says it to me. But then I feel like I've joined the ranks of the cool kids, so I'm very divided.
