Since you're local, can you call the shelters and tell them this directly?

I think the issues you cite are handled by different people.

I could call the shelters but they probably don't make the decisions about what the animals eat. I'm going to try to find out who does though.

The issues of animal shelters and homelessness are handled by different people for sure - I was referring more to Moby and other celebrities and how they get involved in issues they may not understand.
