In a word, androgyny. My male characters who are supposed to be “attractive” tend to have girlish features, and my female characters who are supposed to be “attractive” tend to be a bit boyish. Of course, this assumes there are no in-universe factors distorting the concept—I’m willing to work with and comment on patriarchal settings where women try to be “attractive” by being as feminine as possible.
