Re: Random Fandom

My school district used to send all the fifth graders on field trips to a local park that has a huge outdoor pipe organ. The organist played a bunch of famous stuff, like the main theme from Star Wars, and kids were yelling out the titles of the movies and stuff as they played. Then they played something that none of the kids knew. Finally one of the teachers yelled out “Phantom of the Opera,” which would become my longest-lasting fandom a couple years later. It’s weird that I remember that, because I literally had no clue what it was until three years later. Apparently the overture stuck with me.
