I’m going to visit my aunt’s family tomorrow. It’ll be my first Christmas without my mom, so I’ve been feeling kind of cruddy. After this it’s pretty much down to first New Year and first Mother’s Day without her. I just hope my remaining blood relatives—my mom’s older brother and my dad’s younger brother—and their spouses hang on for a couple decades.

After breakfast tomorrow I have to wrap my aunt and uncle’s presents, prep food, and go get some money from an atm to go with the fudge I’m giving my cousin. I’ll be poor until I get paid on Friday, but my cousin’s pretty much always strapped for cash. Gonna open presents and stockings and make and eat waffles and fruit with the roommate tomorrow before we head out to visit our respective families.
