109 - Please be a troll. If not, you're a bad fan and you should feel bad. You know why fan comics are made? In tribute to the original work. Those comics are only amusing because the characters *aren't* 'cute and funny', that's the joke.

Wait a minute, though, wait a minute. What exactly is so bad about first getting into a series because you see something for it that's cute/makes you laugh, and so you look into it? Even if it is totally different from what you were first lead to believe, how does that make you a bad fan?

Ah, perhaps I came across wrong. I agree there's nothing bad about getting into something that strikes you as cute, but what I mean is, people should appreciate the series for what it is, and not someone else's perception of it, if that makes sense.

Ah, that makes sense- and I thought we were probably just reading the secret differently. XD I think they're just saying that's how they got into it in the first place? But yeah, I can see boggling at someone who says they're a fan of the series when what they're a fan of really has very little to do with the actual series at all...

I have to say though, either way- that comic doesn't do much for me, but the consta-blank look on Near's face does make me giggle. XD I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO KICK MYSELF FOR DAYS to get back into Death Note, I should probably get around to that sometime...
