Violence as justice. Sometimes I just want to see people beating up bad people.

Same. I get an emotional satisfactions from vigilantism, whether it's getting the bad people arrested (as used to happen in The Pretender) or just killed (like many shows that aren't The Pretender).

It depends. In fantasy/scifi/superhero settings, yes, unless they are commenting on real world issues of vigilantism. But not in things set in the real world.
