I agree. I've had the whole range of anxiety feelings from slight fear to panic to the point I thought I almost killed myself. Terrifying is for phobias and terror. For me plains are terrifying. For me, general anxiety attacks are terrifying because they don't have a specific cause and yet I feel pure terror.

I've honestly never actually seen any fictional scenario I'd call terror. Movies don't hit that for me (though someone with a specific phobia might feel terror there). But for me, fiction, even horror movies doesn't do it. It is my own brain that causes it, either randomly or triggered by a specific phobia (never had my height phobia triggered by a movie somehow).

But it is also true that fear is subjective. What is slight anxiety for you might be terror for someone else.
