Doctor Who Christmas Special

Does anyone want to talk about it?

A few thoughts

So I liked parts of it and didn't like other parts. I liked 12's goodbye to everyone and his final words. I liked the regeneration.

But the whole thing felt a little inconsequential. I would have liked a great battle for 12's last adventure or at least some enemy to fight. But this, this was just not what I was expecting. Maybe that's a good thing, but I'm just not sure.

I get why they did it, to have time for all the emotional impact. But it made parts of it just a bit too dull for my taste.

I watched just the bit with the new Doctor (I'm way too far behind on the show as a whole) and I thought it was a good 30 seconds.

I liked the bit about the Christmas truce since the WWI Christmas truces are a part of history I really enjoyed learning about. I felt like the episode before had a bigger emotional impact than the Christmas special, but it still made me shed a few tears. I had mixed feelings about Bill and Nardole showing up since it wasn't really them and, while I'm guessing Bill happily traveled the universe with Heather, I have to wonder what happened to Nardole. My favorite part was Twelve's speech at the end. Loved it.

Nardole was most likely taken out by the Cybermen in the previous episode. When trying to escape with the children it was accepted that they wouldn't be able to outrun the Cybermen forever.

UGH! Good ol' Moffatt, sexist pig to the end. I hated that Moffatt had 13's first act be pushing a button and making the TARDIS go haywire, UGH!

Good bye sexist Moffatt. You Won't be Missed!!!
