I actually don't mind her Force abilities that much because that is implied to be a matter of talent and willpower more than practice.
But her skills with the lightsaber are what bothers me. She never used a sword before, only a staff, yet she somehow knows all the right moves and lightsaber kata without ever being taught. During the fight against the guards, she actually seems more skillful than Kylo, even though he trained for at least a decade longer. And the way she just floats that whole ravine worth of huge rocks out of the way was very OP as well. A bit less would have been better, in my eyes.

The kata she performs can be performed (with some modifications) with staff as well, though, so I don't think that's too far-fetched. And given what we've seen of her, even in TFA alone, moving the rocks didn't feel all that impressive to me.

I also perceived she and Kylo as being about the same level during the fight against the guards. Even with that, I do think your point stands: he's ostensibly had more formal training, so he should outstrip her, rather than equal her.

I guess the question is what sort of training she's actually had. She had to have some, given her proficiency with the staff. Hopefully it'll be covered either in supplemental material or in the third film.

Training extensively for self-defense is training enough. Her fighting style wasn't refined, it was just effective. She lived as a scavenger with a stick for a weapon for her whole life--of course she knows how to fight.
