I have two completely different responses to this. First, this is why I use a separate login for reviewing "mediocre" (take that word with a grain of salt) fic. I want to be encouraging and supportive, and sometimes include a dash of concrit, without getting followed home. And no matter how flawed a fic is if I read it and enjoyed things about it, that creator deserves a comment. But I also know that some people think exactly like this, and I don't want to make self-judging perfectionists doubt my sincerity.

Honestly, even if a fic is terrible in some ways, if it manages to entertain an audience, or inspire someone to daydream about its plot points, it has accomplished something, so there's really no such thing as worthless fic. It all has value, whether as a vehicle for growth for the writer, or as mild entertainment, or whatever. Fic is supposed to be fun. Let it be fun, and don't worry if yours isn't perfect, nothing is ever truly perfect.
