Not gonna write it down here, because the secret would almost certainly come up when one googles his name and I kinda don't want that, I feel awkward enough about sending him flowers xD

Unfortunately, I don't live in the city where my favorite theater is, but I try to go as often as I can. It's mainly a musical theater and it's awesome, wish I could go every day. -op

I think that's a fairly common accolade to give a theater actor to let them know you think their performance is excellent. So, probably he's taken it very much as the compliment it was intended and is pleased with it.

I hope you're right. I don't think he gets flowers all that often, so I'm not sure how he felt about some random stranger sending him a box of yellow roses...I might be overthinking it, though, as I usually do.

Awww, that's really lovely! As someone who's done very small-time theatre (and enjoyed attending somewhat bigger-time theatre), I'm sure your gesture was taken as intended and appreciated! I don't know any actors who wouldn't enjoy flowers from someone who they'd brought joy to.

That's really sweet, OP. I'm sure he was touched, especially if as you say he's underappreciated and not super famous? Getting flowers in your dressing room sounds so glamorous. :)

He is very underappreciated, yes. He got the main part in a big play, but shares the part with the other guy, so he ended up not doing the grand opening, none of the major events, not even the original cast recording. Despite being a far superior performer. All because the other guy dabbles in mainstream music and is sort of famous :( I hope the flowers have brightened up his day <3
