Trope subversion

This may only be a trend in my particular fandom but it's there. I like the tropes as they are. I don't want subversions.

I don't mind if it's good, but a lot of them miss why the trope is good in the first place.

I agree. If I dislike a trope, I generally don't want to see it subverted; I'd rather just not see it at all. But besides that, I happen to like a lot of tropes, and am happy to just see them play out.

I would never leave a negative comment criticizing someone's trope subversion fic. But I don't like trope subversion. Privately, it usually annoys me.
