Wait, you are white knighting someone for having a NOTP... when that someone is throwing an author under the bus for daring to like the pairing she doesn't? How are you missing this? no one cares if you don't like Reylo, but it is weird to be "creeped out" that someone else does.

Because I don't see anywhere that OP is saying that their preferences are objectively right or that other people have to share them.

You're allowed to have your NOTPs and your squicks. That's all that OP said. I don't even really see how they "threw an author under the bus" - they specifically said that they're not going to stop reading or reccing their stuff! All they said was that they got the wiggins.

OP--uh, I really didn't mean to throw this author under the bus. It's why I didn't identify them in any way other than "they published some books." Also I doubt they care if people know who they ship, they just don't want people to associate their original work with their fanfic.
