"Back in the day, yaoi and yuri were oppressed and het was the norm. We had to walk FIVE MILES in the SNOW in Arizona summer, so it was TWO HUNDRED DEGREES to reach a library with an ineternet connection, so we could print out the latest slash fic on FFN—'cause you see, FFN had some top-quality stuff back then, not like the cheap homebrew yaoi you get these days that's got all sorts of stuff cut into it. Nowadays, you never know if you're gonna crack a fic and find furry or—God save us—a WOMAN! And if the librarians caught us, that was a paddlin'!"
