Yeah, that's usually who I see cited as the author whenever the speculation comes up. I've also seen the suggestion the tale has multiple writers, with Angua being one of the most prominent ones.

(For what it's worth, I could have made the same secret. I think it's the amount of private opinions and discussions cited which involve her by comparison to the others.)

I tend to go with the "multiple authors with Angua as the lead author" theory myself.

Funny thing is, I wasn't even involved with HP fandom, but I hung around a lot on fandomwank (JournalFen RIP), so I kinda knew the players by wanky reputation.

To this day, this has to be one of the greatest wank explainers ever written. Whenever I want to remind myself what a shitheel Cassie Clare is, I seek it out and re-read it.

OP here. For me it's the line about angua9 being paranoid. If she wasn't the author, then it seemed a bit catty for a report that was trying to be as neutral as possible in the circumstances.

On great now I want to reread this again

This secret is confusing. I was told that fandom was reasonable and drama-free before Tumblr came around.

Is "oh sweet summer child" too outdated to use here? If you're being earnest, look up Snapewives one of these days.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-29 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
no, that didn't happen

(Anonymous) 2017-12-29 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not too outdated, but it's inappropriate given that ayrt is very obviously joking.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-29 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Eh, any excuse to plug my favorite old wank.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-29 11:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Obviously it was never drama-free, but at least things like the big name sinners list were rightfully mocked.

What is the significance of it being Angua?

(Anonymous) 2017-12-29 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It's been so long I'm forgetting specifics

Re: What is the significance of it being Angua?

At this point? Knowing who it was for curiosity's sake, more or less.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-30 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Can you still read it? I thought journalfen had been down since forever.

(Anonymous) 2017-12-30 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's still up at LJ, but most of the images/evidence is gone, you can read it here: https://charlottelennox.livejournal.com/887.html
