In elementary school, my friend and I got into a heated argument about Aquarius's corresponding element. I was an astrology buff and she was an Aquarius, so I told her her element was air. She wouldn't believe me because she insisted the water-bearer's element had to be water and I kept insisting back that it went in a cycle and didn't work that way. I remember the argument because eventually we got my dad to settle it, and he sided with her reasoning. This was before we had internet, so I couldn't do a search to prove it and ended up with both of them thinking I was wrong. I wasn't, though.

I swear I had this argument with a friend of mine, but my sign's Aquarius and it was in middle school. The argument ended when we looked up the signs in a book.

Who tops in the Naruto/Sasuke ship. The sad thing is, this happened IRL and it lasted for weeks. My friends and I only had lunch together in middle school and we'd spend our free time in class constructing arguments and creating charts and there was a loud kerfuffle when one of my friends suggested they switched.

whether the second pronunciation in a dictionary is fake. I said any pronunciation listed in a dictionary has to be legit, the other person insisted only the first one is correct. Ever.

I listened to my four year old son and his best friend have an argument over the correct pronunciation of the word 'raspberry.'

A friend shared a meme saying that Colonialism was to blame for sexism in Islam. I asked how, which apparently meant I thought it wasn't Colonialism that caused it, I just thought Muslims were naturally sexist. Then somehow the Crusades were brought up, and he decided I was pro-Crusades.

Honestly, looking back I think this "friend" just liked arguing. We begrudgingly made up after he decided I wasn't a pro-Crusades, pro-Colonialism Islamaphobe, but then he came up with another reason to think I was a terrible person.

The meme was talking about sexism among Islamist extremists. Just noticed my wording. Not among all Muslims.

When I was in college, I wrote for the paper; our advisor asked us to do a survey of who read the college paper.

So I ask one student, and she starts YELLING at me at the top of her lungs about how I shouldn't bother her with such a STUPID question, and she doesn't have TIME TO READ THE DAMN COLLEGE PAPER.

... maybe not technically an argument, since she was the only one doing any arguing, but there you have it. I still have absolutely no idea what that was about.
