I honestly don't see how you could say her acting wasn't great in TLJ. Maybe I can see it in TFA, though I don't agree. But TLJ? She was amazing.

I am scratching my head and can't think of a single scene where she impressed. She went through the motions, and her role used absolutely minimal facial expressions. She spent a large portion of the movie out of commission, too. What part did she act that you were impressed? I'm seriously asking. I felt like she was made of wood.

Every scene she was in, I felt she portrayed both Leia's strength and her exhaustion. Also her stubbornness. And her emotions when Luke challenged Kylo and then when he (probably) died. They were restrained as they would be for someone like Leia, but I could still see them. I think showing restrained emotions is actually harder than being really visible with them. She made it clear how Leia was feeling while still showing her to be the in-control character she is.

I've got to agree with AYRT. I in no way have it in for Carrie Fisher, but I found her acting genuinely bad in TFA and just passable in TFA.

*Second instance of TFA should say TLJ, obvs.
