There's a secret, special place in my heart. . .I am lying on his chest, listening to his heartbeat, while he plays with my hair, telling me that I deserve happiness and that if something were to happen to me, he would chase whoever did it to the ends of space in order to avenge me.

I don't go to this place often, partly because it intimidates me, partly because it makes me happy and I sometimes wonder if I deserve to be happy. When I do visit this place, however, I feel like I can do anything I put my mind to.

Although, it's making me think about how people have said he wore a fake chest (although I've heard he didn't, and I think someone like Shatner or Nimoy insisted he was really just that buff). I'm sure in your special place, it's a real chest that you're putting your head on.

OP, he would tell you that you deserve happiness. And he'd be right. Khan knew that you had to fight for what you really wanted and that you didn't sell yourself short when something was yours by right. He'd want you to fight - and he'd be right beside you fighting just as hard for you. Maybe you can add that to your happy place and visit it a bit more often, especially when you doubt you deserve to be there.
