Trump not knowing the words to the National Anthem isn't a huge deal. Especially when there's so many other far more serious gaffes that he's done in the last year as President.

I don't know. It just goes to show how incompetent he is when he can't even manage the minimal standard of civic religion demanded of Republican figureheads. Puts him a step below Reagan, who probably was senile in office but was surrounded by the best of Nixon's ratfuckers and could lay on the ceremonial bullshit when brought out.

And it's not like anyone expected him to know verses 2-4 or anything. Most Yanks learn the first verse of the Star-Spangled Banner by the time they're 7 years old.

Honestly, though, I was a little more disturbed by the fidgeting and "I've got a bubble" chest patting than the flubbed words. He doesn't look like a well man.

It's another example (if more are needed) that right-wing arguments and narratives are largely in bad faith and should be aggressively ignored.

If a major part of his MO for the past 2 years hadn't been playing "More patriotic than thou," trying to paint anyone who disagrees with him as unamerican, and calling players who kneeled during the national anthem sons of bitches who should be fired and blacklisted, it probably would be a blip on the radar. But it was, so it's not.

Meh, bipolar syndrome.

Well, at the very least he's talkative or "tweet'ative'".
