So I woke up this morning at 1:00 am feeling like I'd been kicked in the kidneys and stayed up until 4:30 before conking out and waking up at 6:00, but still went with a friend to see The Greatest Showman at a morning showing. Good movie, but I felt even shittier by the time the movie was over and stopped to buy a test kit and yeast infection meds just in case.

But then I almost threw up on the trolley and stopped at a Kaiser nurse clinic on the way home. They told me I'd need to go to urgent care, but the nearest one was an hour and a half away on public transit and I almost threw up again going up one flight of stairs, and it's gonna be windy, freezing, and pouring rain until tomorrow. I asked if I could make an appointment to see a doctor, but after telling me they could, they said I'd have to call at 7:30 am tomorrow to see if anyone could fit me in.

I get that it's not likely to kill me right away and they're having to set up tents outside their ERs because of all the flu patients, but I would like some meds before I rip all my reproductive bits, my urinary tract, and my kidneys out through my vag and stomp on them. I got soaked coming home. Home test came up positive for a UTI. I still feel like shit after drinking a ton of water, eating a ton of yogurt, and taking a ton of ibuprofen. I have a raging headache, I'm freezing and clammy, and puke a bit every time I move. And I just went to lend friend I went to the movie with my mom's old walker; she called and had twisted/fractured her ankle at work.

Forget it, I'm calling in sick tomorrow so I can either get an appointment or sit in the ER all day. If I keep puking while I'm there they hopefully'll see me in less than 12 hours.

I'm so sorry, anon. That sucks. Just got over the flu myself. I hope you feel better soon and can get in to see a doctor without having to wait so long.

Damn. Sounds utterly miserable. Sorry you're going through all of that shit-hope you can get in to the doctor to get this all taken care of as soon as possible. And hope you get to feeling much better very soon, too! Take care.

I hope you're able to get medical attention in a hurry. I think you're right to call in sick and I hope you feel better soon.

Oh man, I hope you can see a doctor and get some relief!

I once had a UTI when stuck in a small town for work. I had to wait until the next morning and drive an hour to the next larger town where there was an urgent care. Fortunately, the incessant need to pee tapered off as the evening wore on and I was able to both get some sleep and make the long drive in the morning. It was nowhere near as bad as what you're experiencing, though - no vomiting or additional pain.

Getting norovirus while traveling was so much worse.
