She has a cat tree and two other scratching posts. The curtains are the mostly sheer ones over our porch door. And she likes to stare at her reflection there a lot. So I'm wondering if there is some sort of connection.


She loves noise, so I don't think that would work. Noisy things are her favorite. The house alarm went off today and she wasn't scared at all. I do have some basil citrus body spray, though. Maybe I'll spray that on them.

Sounds like these sheer curtains are making motions over the glass and she's just going for it to play. If you can't loop the curtains up/back while she's there, then you need to just teach her 'no'.

Get a water bottle, maybe with a dash of lemon juice in it, and when she goes for the curtains - spritz her and say 'no!' - not screaming, just very emphatic.

Most of our cats will back off on just the 'no', but a couple needed spritzing to reinforce it, and now they'll back off when you reach for the water bottle. Even a couple drops of water off my fingers will make the most obnoxious one back off and reconsider.
