Talk me into doing the right thins F!S

(Anonymous) 2018-01-14 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't eaten all day. I don't want anything I have in my apartment (which is bag salad, frozen chicken strips, cup noodles, and a few types of canned stuff). I want to order food I actually want, but I only have about 4 dollars in my bank account that doesn't need to go to bills in a week or two. Talk me into putting tasteless crap in my mouth so I don't pass out instead of wasting money on takeout please.

Eat your damn soup and salad like an adult, and next time you have enough money for groceries you can buy food you'll actually enjoy eating

1. I enjoy eating these things when I'm not having a depressive episode 3. I can't afford much more than these things even when I have grocery money

I hope this was meant to be tough love, but this reply makes you sound like a dick.

Cook some chicken to add to the cup noodles if they’re chicken flavored? Do you have any canned veggies you could drain, rinse, and add? Dressing for the salad mix? Yeah, I get wanting something prepared when you’re down to making frankenmeals out of odds and ends. It sucks. Sorry.

Same anon—also, are frozen veggies that much more expensive than canned where you are? Maybe when you can afford to go shopping, get a couple bags of frozen mixed veggies and some chicken bouillon cubes.

I used to add some combo of frozen veggies, hot pepper, ginger, soy sauce, and a smushed clove of garlic to cheap ramen when I wasn’t up to cooking from scratch and/or couldn’t afford a bunch of fresh ingredients, and you could do that plus chicken strips. Also I still top bags of mixed salad greens with drained rinsed canned beans and bottled salad dressing if I need veggies and protein. Good luck.

EAT A NOODLE CUP! NOW!

Then, if you're up for it, cook a bit of chicken and have it with some salad.

Do you have any eggs? Or bread? Or cheese? Or literally only the foods you listed?

Cook your cup noodles, drain them, and put noodles and broth separate. Cook the chicken and add any and all spices/seasoning you like, plus some of the noodle broth. Do it on the stove-top in a big sauce pan.

Cut the chicken up into bites. Turn your pan up fairly high, add a bit more of the noodle broth and then the noodles and kind of fry them, stirring a lot. Toss in the chicken and maybe some of the bag salad if it has cabbage in it.

Serve it up on more salad and if you have croutons or something, crush those on top for some crunch. Hope you like it!

You don't really sound like you want to be talked into anything, honestly. The food you have at home is what it is. It's relatively healthy, and it's easy to prepare. Takeout is expensive and worse for you than what you already have. If lack of appetite's the problem, I suggest sticking to the cup noodles. You can pretty much just drink that without paying too much attention to it.

Op - thank you commenters I have forced food upon myself. I'm still depressed but I don't feel dizzy anymore

Sorry for the depression but hey you fixed something that was fucking with you, so one less thing to worry about. If only depression was as easy to treat as low blood sugar, right?
