I really don't get the hate she gets, OP. I'm thinking back to that MV she did with Alicia Silverstone, and I could see it.

Me, either! I've liked her in everything i've seen her in, LoTR included, and she seems like a rather nice person.

Plus she's hot as hell. I just don't get it.

Yeah, she is gorgeous and I remember her seeming really nice if not a little bit clueless about the roles she was in. Maybe it's an unrecognized strain of Fake!Geek!Girl rage.

SA Maybe it's just LOTR geeks being possessive about Arwen, but it seems like any time I see anything about her anywhere there's a ton of negativity thrown her way. I remember people being shitty about her role in the Hulk movie too, and I thought she did well with what she was given.

I had such a crush back in the 90s, too. I was fascinated by the way she was both recognizably her father's daughter and stupidly beautiful at the same time.

I don't know about "hate" but I think she's a pretty bad actress.
