Re: Ugh—weight talk tw

AYRT—walking is my primary means of transportation if I’m going anywhere less than 2 miles away, since I take public transit and I can walk a mile in the time it takes for a bus to show up. And I’m not worried about gaining weight if it’s muscle.

I got promoted to a more sedentary job last year that requires me to stand all day instead of walking, lifting, bending, and stretching all day, and I got my degree this past spring so I’m not scurrying from class to class anymore either. I’m just sore from ramping up my walking and probably because I did 7 miles on Friday. Only 4 yesterday and I ended up at 4.5 today—after whining here, I went for a walk, but the 7 mile day was more than I’ve done in awhile and my body’s still pissed at me..

I’m not gonna quit if I don’t lose weight; I’ve quit before when my allergies kicked my ass for two months running, when I fucked up my knee in an acting class, and once, I wore out a treadmill—I don’t think manufacturers of the cheap ones expect people to walk them to death.
