I'm not saying your family isn't ignorant because plenty are, and it can be jarring when you're looking at it through a new lens. But it will serve you well to think critically about what you learned in college. There's an extremist edge to postmodern theory, which borders more on indoctrination than education.

Think critically about all ideas. Never settle into comfortable beliefs. That is ignorance.
