I have such vivid memories of dancing to this at my eighth grade school dance (first ever high school dance, ~so exciting~). I love it, but I'm not sure if I'd love it without the nostalgia goggles.

The only reason I winced at the first line is because I have been trying to find my mother a Bruno Mars CD since last year and am still trying to get a refund bc the seller gave me some random dude instead.

I must be in an unusually relaxed mood, there's a bunch of songs I hate and I'm having a very hard time thinking of them.

Break in my Stride. It was inexplicably popular when I was in high school but I know I am not the only one who hates it.

I can't stand Bohemian Rhapsody. I just can't. I used watch a friend perform at karaoke nights at the pocal pub and guaranteed, every single night some drunkard would take a stab at it and somehow make it sound even worse.

It's a running joke in my family that my dad has an unlimited supply of hate for Dancing In The Moonlight by Toploader, to the point that even the opening seconds of it make him grind his teeth.

Any and all versions of Hallelujah (or however the fuck it's spelt). I cannot stand this song in any incarnation. It's overplayed and overused and depressing af.

Honestly, there's a ton of songs I dislike, but the problem is, I don't tend to listen to music I hate, so most of the songs I hate I've only heard a couple times and sometimes only part of the song before I turned it off, and I feel weird about hating on music I barely even know. Like I'm pretty sure I hate the majority of Nicki Minaj's music, but I barely know her music at all, so I can't really say with full conviction that I hate it.

Anything off Jack Johnson's "Brushfire Fairytales" or Diana Krall's "When I Look in Your Eyes"

Both of those were in constant rotation on the overhead music for well over a year at the first Borders I worked at. Even 15 years later the memory makes me grind my teeth.

Don't Stop Believing by Journey. Really, really hate it. Covers are marginally better but not much.
