Of all the kids, he's the only one besides maybe Eleven who is remotely interesting looking. There's nothing wrong with any of the rest of them, but they're all fairly generic in appearance.

What you're seeing is the unfortunate result of being the interesting one. Fan artists can't fall back on one of their three generic humans to draw him. When you find people who draw Dustin well, remember them. You've found people who've got actual artistic talent in a pool of people who can draw one or two character models really well.
