(Anonymous) 2018-01-19 12:16 am (UTC)(link)I think the worst thing about it for me is that like... the anticipation of something embarrassing happening, all the time where I'm watching a scene thinking of all the ways that the scene could go wrong and be embarrassing for someone - ends up being much more unpleasant for me than the actual embarrassment on screen. So I feel like it ends up magnifying the actual humiliation that's present on screen.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-19 12:18 am (UTC)(link)I always spoil myself thoroughly before watching anything to help mitigate this problem but there's no real way to avoid it completely. And sometimes spoilers only make me think something embarrassing will happen but the execution was actually okay so I worried for nothing.
