Nothing transformative fandomy, but I've recently got into a new music reality show which has a different spin on the shows of the last IDK, 18-19 years. It feels like I've gone back to fandom roots, because the first time I was online fannish was over music reality television.

Where instead of going through rounds and competing against other artists, this show takes artists on the edge of breaking out and auditions them with a major record label manager, an established artist, and an established pop songwriter/producer.

Once the auditions happen the producer and label head have to decide which two artists are a good fit for the song and they have 48 hours to record the song. The best of the recorded songs and following live performance gets launched into Radio Play the day after airing.
