The closest thing I had happen was a wild macaque decided it was going to jump off a fence and give me a hug. It was very good about me removing its little body from my torso and putting it back on the fence, but I guess it could've gone all pear shaped and I'd be showing off my rad macaque battle scars.

Pear-shaped would have been if it had given you Herpes-B. Alive and rad battle scars would probably mean you'd have macaque powers now.

God attacked by a pack of dogs once while walking in the woods. I had to climb a deer stand and wait for them to leave. Thankfully, I heard them coming so was able to get up before they got to me.

Holy crap, the deer stand being there is incredibly lucky.

One of my neighbors got mauled by a pack of dogs about fifteen years back. He was hospitalized for four months, and wouldn't show his face outside for a couple years after that because of all the reconstruction work that had to be done.

Yeah, my "neighborhood" (I loved in the country) was plagued by people dumping unwanted dogs in the area. Some of the packs would get really large and aggressive. A lot of the neighbors carried guns in case they had to shoot any that would attack family pets, livestock, or children. Hell, I was walking our dog once and this three dogs showed up out of nowhere and attacked him (he was on a leash)! Thankfully my dad was nearby and was able to kick them off our dog.

I realize it's a typo, but I'm loling at "God" getting attacked by a pack of dogs. Maybe you shouldn't have given them TEETH!

Uh, yup. When we'd first moved to the Philippines and were staying with this family while looking for a house to rent. The son who was my age was a little jerk and one time he sicked his rottweiler dog on me. I barely got back into the house in time.

Not exactly dangerous, but one night I was coming back from getting a sleeping bag out of the car, turned around to go back in the house, and found myself facing an enraged skunk doing its little stompy warning dance. I shrieked and dodged and the air around me filled with eau du skunk, but I (and my sleeping bag) made it back inside unsprayed. My friend laughed her ass off when I sprinted inside, because she’d heard me scream followed immediately by the stench and assumed I’d been sprayed. Also I saw a mountain lion in the wild from a couple hundred yards, but it wasn’t paying attention to the people spying on it.

A cow tossed her head and banged her horn into my face a few centimeters from my eye. Fortunately she had short, invard curving horns so I didn't get hit with the tip. I was around 8 yo and it was an accident.

I had a couple of bulls trying to rush me in the field at the end of season. The Angus I could scare enough to stop, but the Charolais was "wilder" and I always kept my distance from that one.

Was camping in Oklahoma panhandle area and went to the creek to get water, felt like I was being watched and looked up into the eyes of a mountain lion! He was a grown cub probably never saw a human being before, but he was so close I could've touched him and I stood up slowly, made myself look as big as possible and backed away while talking to him. I said, don't try anything with me and we'll both be all right. I backed up the stream bank and he disappeared into the grass. Didn't see him again but saw tracks and heard him roaring later that night.

Broke my arm falling off my horse but I kinda blame the guy in the massive dump truck that sped past us on the road and spooked him.

Haven't had any like...wild animal encounters or situations where I feared for my life or anything like that though.

Been bitten by all sorts of animals, from turtles to someone's pet monkey. As a small child I really wanted to make all snakes my friend and wasn't exactly sure the whole venomous/nonvenomous thing, though thankfully never bitten by a seriously venomous one.

Prodded a huge snapping turtle the rest of the way across a highway one time. Tossed tons of times by horses. Probably the most dangerous one was one time hiking in Yellowstone near the end of the hike there was a bison near the path. The guide said technically it was too close and we needed to turn back, but since that going to be another two hours of hiking we could just be very quiet and make no threatening movements and keep going.
