[Spider-Man (Marvel-616)]

One of my first comic books was a Marvel Tales reprint of this issue, where they break up. (Spider-Man #30, I think?)

Steve Ditko was doing some neat stuff on the book about that time.

Ehhh. While I have a soft spot for early Spiderman myself, it's hard to deny that a lot of that stuff is pretty rough going to read nowadays. I can see why people don't pay that much mind to stuff like this.

also: in addition to being mired in forgettable, convoluted storylines and 60s soap opera antics, Betty doesn't really have a hook. Mary Jane and Gwen have memorable one-line descriptions: Mary Jane is Spiderman's true love. Gwen dies. Betty is just sort of there.

+1, Betty is much better off without Peter's drama, I have to say.

Betty's a cheating whore.

No. I mean, yeah, I guess she did cheat on Ned, but no.
