Given that fire is such a destructive force, I'm not surprised that it is mostly a power for villains. Other than warmth, what positive trait does fire have?

Heee! Creamed corn is pretty tasty, though, yes - a rather odd thing to serve at breakfast. I always think of castles and things as mostly European, and i can't think of anything they would serve that would be that color. I dunno that anybody in Fantasy!England would eat corn mush....

Yeah, well, the presence of corn (a new world vegetable) at all in pre-modern Europe puts us into fantasy territory anyway, so the chickens shouldn't be eating corn either! Eating grits for breakfast isn't actually any less likely...
