I have to say I agree with the above commenter . Most people don't love Scott. Some love him, some hate him, but I would say the majority tolerate him more than anything else. The question was characters that most people love.

He is well liked enough that they continued to make him the main character of a TV show. That is kind of a weird assertion because creators and writers of a show can like and write for characters that fans don't really like or like less than other show characters or think is bland. See Ted Mosby, Dawson Leery, etc.
