155. Fucking agreed. You have no idea how much of that I went through as a female anime blogger. It got to a point where I was so fucking disgusted and sick of being objectified that I just deleted my blog and never looked back.

...REALLY? Huh, I recently launched my yaoi blog this summer and can't say that I've been having the same trouble (NO DUH), but what type of trouble did you get? other anime bloggers and readers making sexist comments about you? :( I'm genuinely curious.

Guys treating me like I was just a piece of meat and making disgusting comments. What bothered me the most was being constantly talked down to like I was some kind of idiot. And then when I tried to make friends with the girl bloggers, I got wind that they were spreading shit about me behind my back. The last straw was when the guys got ahold of one of my pictures and were all talking about "HOW HOT MARMOT IS." I would've kept blogging if I could've somehow faded into obscurity, but both times I got into it, I wound up picking up huge readerships right off the bat.

i know that you'd feel annoyed, but i wouldn't mind having a larger readership (then again, i just launched). any tips on gaining a wider audience?

Comment a lot on other peoples' blogs. Vary the types of entries you have; in other words, don't always do long analysis entries and don't always do short ones. Stand up for what you believe in, don't act like a spineless fuckass, and don't be intimidated by bloggers that have been around longer than you.

It's so hard being pretty, internets! And you can't do anything without posting your picture online!

But no, seriously, I'm average looking, and my face was mostly obscured by my holding up a sign that said, "LOL UR A FAG!" in that picture (or something equally as dumb). Not only that, but I only even sent it to one person. A year ago. I mean, fuck, if I'd posted my tits or something then I could understand being treated like a whore. :U
