105 I haven't seen Torchwood, so I don't know about whether or not they're hot, but I'm confused as to how saying a gay man IRL (he is, isn't he? or is 'everything I know about Torchwood I learned from F!S' failing me this time?) did a poor acting job on a gay scene is somehow homophobic? Also, is he looking into the camera in that last shot? I'm going with 'embarrassing' too, at least till I see it for real.

108 Disagreeing on the Will Smith part, but on the whole, I hate most of the other three's movies, too. Too much crass gratuitous nakedness, for Carrey and Farrel, and for some reason I just don't find Murphy funny.

166 Why leave fandom, then? Though I assume if you've been around since before 2006 you probably have had to deal with some of the issues I never did, so it might not feel as welcoming and fun for you as it does me. I'm really confused at the 'how was anyone supposed to stay' part, though. I really wish whoever is doing the crappy promos this year would stop using the WRONG FUCKING GATE, though. *points to icon*

That's so stupid! Just because they showed something on TV doesn't mean they handled it correctly or that you're supposed to judge it with a lower standard and be grateful. WTF.

Seems less to do with the show itself. S/he might be referring to the endless stream of wank, spoilers, and vitriol. It wasn't exactly confined to one group, either. There are a number of talented fan-writers and fan-artists who simply left because of all of it. SGA fandom seemed pretty huge when it came to my attention, so I imagine a lot of people felt welcomed at first too.

I must live in a happy place, because I haven't seen any of it. And... aren't spoilers something one can avoid? Unless people are maliciously posting them in the places where all the rest of the nasty stuff is happening, and I'm not friended to them/watching those communities? I'm confused as to why you list them among 'wank' and 'vitriol.' Not trying to attack you or anything, it's just... really odd, to me.
