If you won $100 million in the lottery, what would you do?

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Take revenge on my enemies.

not op just another anon.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-28 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
How?

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Pay off all my bills. Pay off all my brother's/parent's bills and give them some extra for vacation/whatever they want.

Pay off my bff's and her mom's bills. Take my bff to England and France because she's always wanted to go.

Invest some.

Move closer to my BFF. Adopt all the cats.

Cry because my life would completely change.

Pay off my student loans. Pay off the student loans of my sister. Put half of it in whatever my new financial advisor recommends I do.

By myself a house in a better state. Buy my siblings houses IF they find a full time job someplace so they can afford the bills on it. Go on a vacation. Donate some money to causes I like.

Drop down to part time.

Live longer weekends all the time.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
Ahhhhhhhhhhh yes the dream of part-time employment.

[personal profile] thewakokid 2018-01-27 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
As opposed to full time employment. full time employment really cuts into my jacking off time. I mean, not as much as you'd think, but some.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Always knew you were a wanker.

I prefer to think of myself as a wank artiste

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Buy a farm in Tuscany.

Give a chunk to my folks.

Give another chunk to a scholarship fund at my alma mater.

And otherwise carry on pretty much the same.

Give it to legal services and other organizations working with immigrants. Well, I'd probably pay off my student loans first.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Buy a house (preferably one that needs some fixing up and fix it up), offer to buy my brother a house, put some in a fund to cover future care and upkeep of my parents should they need more than what they have saved, give a bunch to PBS, NPR, and Wikipedia.

I think there's a hard limit to how luxurious a lifestyle I am capable of living. Not because I am a ascetic, just because I'm lazy. I would probably just pay off my loans, maybe buy a condo, and sit on my computer all day. Bare walls and all - no motivation to be fancy, and I'm an introvert. I'd maybe start grocery shopping at the Whole Foods down the street instead of Safeway though

Retire, go on a fabulous vacation with my qt3.14, and then talk to a financial advisor about investment options and whatever other boring shit.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Fix all the stuff that needs fixing around my house and yard, bring everything up to code, put in new landscaping and a drip system. Give a couple million each to my uncles and aunt and friends. Maybe buy another house or two to vacation/let friends stay at, with enough land to have a couple acres of garden and a few small livestock. Give lots to charity. Keep enough in the bank to live comfortably off the interest-go to the theatre and vacations, buy new clothes when I need them instead of patching them up until they fall off, pay for medical care and vet bills and healthy food, that kind of stuff.

After careful legal planning, possible name changing and moving, etc...

Live my life the way I fucking want to. For the record, that doesn't mean I'll buy expensive cars and mansions and gamble shit away. I mean pursue the career I want without financial fear and fill my life with good people and meaningful activities. And of course, shut the fuck up about how much money I do have.

travel
take my best friend traveling with me
pay my own rent so certain people couldn't control my life so damn much

(Anonymous) 2018-01-27 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Take everyone I know out to a nice dinner. Pay off loans. Buy a new car. Fix up my house exactly the way I want it, including total bathroom renovations and buying furniture. Hire a landscape designer to spruce up the garden. Go on a kickass month long vacation someplace warm. Get two dogs. Set up a big chicken coop and get into beekeeping. Set up an artist's studio with a pottery kiln and equipment to make jewelry because I've always wanted to try that but don't have the money.

Oh, man. Well, first I'd pay off all of my family's bills, get us all the medical treatment we need but can't currently afford (we have insurance, but they don't cover everything and copay can be a bitch), donate to my favorite charities, leave giant tips at restaurants and hairdressers and whatnot, help out as many people as possible, and buy or build a nice little cottage on the coast somewhere that is very definitely not Florida, because Florida is just the worst. I'd also open up a no-kill animal shelter, as well as a shelter for LGBT+ youth.

I think I'd start by getting my father and I side-by-side apartments in downtown Vancouver. Then I'd put in a wide door conjoining the two apartments, so that it could be like one big home when we wanted it to be, or two separate homes when we wanted privacy.

Then I think my father and I would probably travel a bunch and spring for relatively luxurious accommodations. I would also try to get my friends to travel with me some of the time (and I'd pay for as much as they'd let me, of course). While traveling, I'd try to come up with a list of things I wanted to do once I got back home (and I'd get my father to come up with a list of his own, too). I think I'd like to hire one-on-one teachers to teach me various subjects. I'd like to go back and relearn math, and actually understand it this time. I'd also like to learn another language (maybe more than one, but I'd start with one).

I'd hire a personal trainer, and maybe a dietitian.

I'd shop a lot, not gonna lie. I love nice things.

And...this is a bit silly, but I kind of want to be a fashion blogger? So maybe I'd give that a try, and see if I could get it to the point where I was actually making money off of it.

Student Loans

Set up trust funds so that my nieces and nephews never have to deal with student loans.

Probably donate a large chunk to a community organization that can make good use of it.

(Anonymous) 2018-01-28 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Buy a small place on a small bit of land and live very simply so that money LASTS AND LASTS.
