I vividly remember watching this movie when I was 10 years old. My friend and I would rewind the part where human!Beast turns around for the first time and pee ourselves laughing, because we thought he was fug too. Good call.

XD Yeah, it's pretty much entirely story-oriented! I'd hesitate to call it a visual novel, though, only because it was so difficult for me. >_> I hate to admit it but I had to use an online guide, especially for later cases.

Juumonji/Suzuna? 8D Oh my god that would be adorable. For some reason the idea for Monta/Suzuna popped up in my head a few months ago, but beyond even just having the thought I never really did anything with it... XD;

Could barely read this but I managed because I love Tosh so much. And this is a wonderful secret. I agree so fucking hard.

I'll constantly rewind to see if I can figure out what they're mouthing, and now I know what movie I'm watching next.

Do people find it tough to sit through Intolerance or is it just a long movie? I try to get people to watch Lang movies, but the premise of his movies scare some off.

Would you mind if I popped over to your journal and clicked a little button that said "Add as Friend"?

Re: Intolerance. Well, there are 4 stories and it's constantly cross-cutting between them. It confused them then, and while it doesn't confuse audiences so much now, it's a bit jarring and a couple of the stories are either dull or badly acted (the Jesus one & the Huguenot story, in particular). The Babylon segment is very impressive in a DeMille way, though some of the acting is, er, lacking. There is a longer version of the Modern Story (the one with Harron & Marsh) called The Mother and the Law, that was released as a movie unto itself back in 1919 or so. Griffith tried to salvage what he could from it to make some extra $$$.

I love Fritz Lang! Most partial to Dr. Mabuse.

Sure! I'll friend you back!

Are you reading my mind? lol, I swear this totally sounds like me..I love gen stuff in shows, or movies. And read hard slash or het stuff in fanfic. And i've know i had a fluff addiction for yes.

[identity profile] emeraldlies.livejournal.com 2008-07-12 01:51 am (UTC)(link)
I have no idea who you are, but I couldn't help but laugh at most of your secrets because you sound so purely like... me. xD

# 101- oh dear lord, that movie was just so heart-wrenchingly beautiful If I were a crier, I would have cried. =]
# 169- Same here. It sounds pathetic admitting it like this, but it's so true.
He has such a beautiful spirit. Too bad he's fictive, eh?
# 159 LMAO - you left me dumfounded for a good five whole minutes trying to figure out the relation between the image and what you wrote, then I read "Veggies unrelated". :p
#150- Wow. You hit the spot for me. I cringe when I see that.
#104- perfect for Ed :p
#112. Hehe, me.
#140- HOMG! My favorite Disney movie of all time. I first watched it when I was five years old- that is when I realized for the first time that there are people in this world who might one day accept me for who I am inside. I fell in love with the Beast.

Have a lovely evening

I'm not gonna lie here -

I always find male characters to be superior to female ones in movies. I just feel like male characters just fit lead roles better. Woody, Flick, all those guys. And I'm a chick, but I just disagree with you entirely here. Sure, these movies have cool female characters. But I don't think they're ever suited to the lead role.

:)

'The Bear and the Bow' - 2011

I'm very proud of Pixar creating great female leads like Dory, Helen, Edna, and Eve and it shows they can definitely make a great female protagonist. Let's hope it still works for this film.

Chill, chill, I never mentioned any specific weights or BMIs. I don't even know what a healthy BMI is. I don't know what my BMI is; I've never had it measured. I don't own a scale. I'm in your category here - the last time I went to a doctor I was told I was underweight, and I tend to worry more about that (again, intestinal problems) than being too fat.

What I'm concerned wit is being fit, which is more important to me than anything else. I measure health by how many times you can run around the block, not what your waistline is. I know some girls (also guys, but being chubby fit seems to happen more with girls?) that look really chubby because they're into sports (somehow a lot of sporty girls end up that way, I don't know the mechanics) and half of it is muscle. But by the same token, I know plenty of girls who don't exercise and are overweight for that reason.

The issue isn't fat, it's fat being the symptom of lack of exercise. My concern with the OP is that she saw denying herself food as a way to lose weight... not exercise, which is the way it should be done. My issue with the person who responded to the OP was that they seemed to see it as okay to be overweight (and I don't think the OP ever mentioned exactly what their weight was) and to not try to be healthy.

And yeah, it goes for both sides of the fence, too. Being underweight is just as bad.

ETA: Also, I don't see what this has to do with money. Getting exercise and eating right doesn't cost anything...

The OP never said specifically how overweight they were... when people claim to be fat, I assume that they mean 'unhealthy', not 'chubby'. :/

Mecha porn is surprisingly popular in some circles...though I see more smut of anthropomorphic Gundam, than transformers.
