I don't hate Klingons in general - they're not especially interesting, as alien races go, but they had some cool Klingon storylines in DS9 and TNG. I like the Klingons alright when they're basically some kind of bloodsoaked, over-the-top, crazed version of operatic plotting and high politics. That stuff is fun.

What does bother me is that it feels like a lot of the more recent shows, including Disco, don't actually have interesting things to do with the Klingons, and are instead just leaning on them because they're Star Trekky and you have to have Klingons in Star Trek. It bums me out. Klingons aren't intrinsically interesting just because they're Klingons. Their history isn't interesting just because it's Klingon history.
