If you're alone and you aren't able to achieve or maintain arousal, maybe go read a book instead? Or literally anything else?

I mean I don't use porn to fap myself so this isn't a problem I have.

But I do know that it's really common. iirc it's slightly more common for men to use/need visual stimuli, and slightly more common for women to use/need erotica or elaborate imagined fantasies.

You can be horny without being physically aroused. It's a multilayered thing. And most people don't NEED porn to maintain arousal, but they like it. It speeds things up when you just want a quick orgasm.

>You can be horny without being physically aroused.

What? How is that possible?

Seems to me that if a person perceived themselves to be horny but if they're not actually physically aroused, they're confused about what they're feeling - most likely it's loneliness.

I'm a woman, I can be horny without being wet. There are different levels of arousal. Have you ever been horny? Do you not masturbate? If not I think you're kind of talking out of your ass, yeah?

You just are not correct. I am capable of distinguishing between physical horniness and loneliness, because they feel distinctly different and manifest in different ways, and only one makes me want to masturbate. It's hard to describe what horniness is, but it's definitely a distinct mental state for me that doesn't require me to be physically aroused.

I think you're doing that thing where you assume that because your mind works a certain way, so does everyone else's. But that's not always the case.

Ok, this is interesting. I have never known how a woman is supposed to tell she's horny. I've always thought of it as being obvious for guys (has an erection=horny) but kind of confused when it comes to women.

I mean, there are times where I mentally think "I would really like to have an orgasm right now" but was never sure if that counted or not? Honestly, I don't know if I've ever been "physically aroused", I wouldn't even know how to tell. I mean, I know people mention "being wet" but ummm...sorry if this is too TMI, but when that happens I'm pretty much never in that "must have orgasm" mental state.

I don't know if I'm just abnormal in this regard or what.

Personally, I know I'm horny when I find myself wanting to think about sex, and then when I do think about sex, my body and my brain both respond with arousal. My brain goes, "Fuck that's hot, think about it some more," and my body gets turned on. And it's kind of a feedback loop; my brain being turned on gets my body turned on, and then my body being turned on makes my brain more turned on, and so on.

When I'm not horny, I don't have that much desire to think about sex, and when I do think about it, my brain just kind of goes, "Ok, so?"

Horniness is what turns a sexual thought into something hot. When I'm not at all horny, I can think about the porniest things and...they're just things. Like my brain just goes, "Yup, a penis can go into a vagina, that's a fact that is true."

At least with pornographic drawings no one is being exploited. Too often trafficking victims end up being used in porn especially the stuff coming out of Central and Western Europe.

Absolutely agree. If you must watch porn, stick with the animated kind.

Considering this was a discussion of drawn porn this comment seems a little pointless.

Since it's a sexist troll post a little sense was called for. Or are you one of those pro-porn people who don't give a damn about who gets hurt as long as you get off?

(Anonymous) 2018-01-31 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
People have a right to enjoy their bodies the way they see fit. That includes masturbaters and porn actors. They don't need to change for your comfort. Don't like it? Don't watch.
