Um... not all abusers were abused themselves. That is a myth. Some people, as scary as it is, just end up being evil.

This is the myth.

I'm going to guess you're referring to physical and overt sexual abuse, but these are not the only types of abuse.

If someone who has never experienced any kind of neglect, extreme humiliation, deprivation, or cruel treatment in the developmental stages of life suddenly becomes an abuser for no absolutely reason, then that sounds like a medical issue.
