Feeling blah about what should be good news?

So for like a month now I've been trying to get a second job. My job is too inconsistent with hours, so I need a second job or a new job to pay my bills next month (I will have under 50 dollars in my account after paying this month.) Well I finally got a call today for an interview, for a hotel housekeeping job. Not glamorous or super well paying, but it could be a passable second job, which is all I need. I just need more money.

And I want to be excited but... I'm not. Is it cause I'm a college grad having to work two jobs to get by? Is it cause its not even close to what I actually want to do with my life? Am I down on my chances to even get this job? Is it just anxiety in general?

Idk but I wish I was excited F!S :/

I don't blame you, anon. It's good that you've got a shot at landing the second job you need, but the fact that you need to work two jobs to support yourself is just crappy. I hate that this seems to be the new normal for so many people your age, and it must feel extra difficult because it wasn't normal for your parents' generation.

I don't blame you for not being excited at having to have a second job. I've worked two jobs a couple of times and it's hard.

I hope you can find something that pays well that's closer to what you really want to do.
