I am just looking forward to all these nerds going "Oh, is there a SPORTSBALL game on? Gonna watch your sportsball???" Or, "I am going to watch the Puppy Bowl because it is so much better. Ha ha ha." Or, "How about that Superb Owl today? I am so funny and original."

Need to be bring back nerd bullying.

You know, I'm going to go kind of the other way on this

not that those jokes aren't stupid, but rather, making hacky unoriginal dumbass jokes constantly isn't unique to nerds by any means

My local cat rescue is having their own live 'Kitten Bowl/Adoption Special' today. Sadly, it's snowing and nasty, so probably not as popular as it could have been.

I think Superb Owl sounds cute...

It is, but it's been run into the ground quite a bit at this point

Or maybe we need to stress that mocking harmless hobbies is unacceptable no matter how little you care for them to the next generation?

The awnser to bullying is not more bullying

LOL "harmless"...

there's a lot of valid reasons to criticize football but I don't think that repeating the word "sportsball" several dozen times is a good way of getting at any of them

I've never actually heard "sportsball" or "Superb Owl" before.

Says the one on a dying nerd community on Super Bowl Sunday. Those jokes are bland but self loathing nerds are insufferable

I don't know. As someone who doesn't follow sports, I think the Puppy Bowl does sound so much better. How can one go wrong with puppies? Other than annoying you, I mean.

There was also a Kitten Bowl.

I think the Puppy Bowl should have a showdown with the Kitten Bowl. That would be so much fluffy cuteness, I might die of happiness.

When did nerd bullying go out of style?

I think most of us spent the evening with dinner and Netflix. (No, not necessarily that Netflix you dirty-minded buffoon, actual Netflix.)
