I always feel guilty when I buy things for myself I don't need. Like knick knacks and such.

I still feel bad for being a shitty LJ friend while a family member was dying/a bit after they died. A lot of my LJ friends talked about their problems frequently, whereas I desperately needed LJ to be an escape, so... I didn't exactly comment much. I just really couldn't deal with more illness/death/dying talk.

I even defriended one person because we weren't close anyway - she rarely commented on my posts. But it was mostly that all she talked about was her sick father, and I did not have the emotional energy for it.

Sometimes you just can't handle dealing with what someone else is going through on top of what you are going through, and that's okay. I took a break from Tumblr for a while because I was in a rough spot, and this one follower who shares a lot with me was also going through similar rough times. And her mental health on top of mine was not good for me. So I took time off.

When I was eight years old, there was a sad woman in the car next to me. My sister and I always made each other laugh by sticking our tongues at each other. So I smiled at her, and she smiled back. I then stuck my tongue out at her; her face crumpled.

I'm in my thirties and still feel bad. I honestly had no idea until then that sticking out your tongue was an insult.

I always take forever in grading my students' work because I hate it and keep putting it off.

I always have this vague feeling that I've done something I'm going to get scolded for even when I know I haven't, and even if I had I live alone and there is no one to scold me anyway. I have no idea why or how to make it go away.
