125. Gotta admit, they're super cute boots. Finding anime/video game character boots in general is hard because everyone wants to put heels and straps and buckles and sequins and fake fur on them -- especially if you're a girl. And if you're a guy? Pretty out of luck too, because cowboy boots and work boots and maybe some combat boots are your only hope, and those tend to look nothing like what you're looking for.

148. I've stayed out of the fandoms of a lot of the books I read as a child for the same reasons. I like them to stay "pure" in my eyes. I don't want to read smut into them.

160. IIRC, there were a lot of things that people tend to see as objectionable in it (though I've never watched it, so I can hardly judge it). There's a reason it wasn't aired during the daytime. It hardly makes you racist because you don't like one show that deals with black characters. That's like the whole "you're misogynistic if you hated Twilight because the author is a woman." It's silly. I don't like Sailor Moon -- does this make me misogynistic? Wait, don't answer that...

162. I like the typo rants because they make me giggle a bit, but I've still got to agree. Every repost is a repost of a repost.

Come on, if you paid attention to the game and just about everything connected with it, you'd realize that Tifa is not a contender in this 'Love Triangle'. Hell, you wanna know what's the biggest obstacle for Cloud/Tifa? CLOUD. If that isn't enough to make you feel secure enough to just enjoy the damned pairing, then Tifa's established maternal feelings towards Cloud should be.

Tifa's no more a sue than anyone else in the cast. She has flaws, she's easy to relate to, and she's dealing with it the best she can.

Quite honestly, I don't see why anyone fights about this. Cloud's not exactly the ideal guy, y'know. I know if I was reunited with someone I had a crush on, and he turned out to be a real damned douchebag to me, even though he thought I had been dead up 'til that point? That'd quell any residual feelings I might have had.

Then again, had things gone my way, AerTi would have been far more prevalent. XD

Really, unless you're 12 and just got into the fandom, grow the fuck up already. There is no need to sling mud at characters just because you think they somehow stand in the way of your 'ship. In fact, if you really love your pairing...shouldn't you be enjoying it instead of getting all wound up about what's canon and what's not?
