It appears to me, judging solely by the comments (I don't give a shit about SPN personally) there isn't a gender issue here so much as there's an issue of the show sucking, or appearing uninteresting to the fanbase. That's not sexism. Perhaps it's been poorly advertised. That happens, too, and that's not necessarily sexism either. Also, if the demand from fans was low, and the show it comes from has a fandom brimming with folks thirsty for Dean and eager to read and write fics about him boning his brother and other dudes... yeah. Your insistence on ~sexism~ kind of falls apart there. Apples and oranges. Let fangirls and fanboys have their damn kink and move on with your life. Not everything's a gender issue. Not every slight against humans who happen to be female is sexist. The end.

Um... I don't know if you know this but...

Wayward Sisters exists because a part of the fandom wanted it. Google "Wayward Daughters" and you'll see that people have been petitioning for a Jody centered spinoff for three years. A lot of SPN fans and ex-fans who left because SPN lacks diversity have been trying to get this show made since Bloodlines failed.
