That link says there isn't BUT I wonder if they would have to make a law if someone who is president for 8 years wants to be a vice president after. Because if the president died while he is VP, he'd get more than 8 years as president.

Someone who is "constitutionally ineligible to be president" cannot be the VP, which I assume includes a president who's had two terms already. Whether an ascendant VP's term counts depends on whether the president dies more than halfway through their term or not.

Actually, nobody's entirely sure whether or not this is true, because the 22nd Amendment (which is the one that set presidential term limits) specifically talks about prohibiting people from being elected President, not from serving as President. and it's unclear whether that would necessarily apply to VPs, especially if someone was appointed Vice President subsequent to an election (like Gerald Ford was).

It's totally a moot point because no one would ever try to do it, but it's an actual constitutional open question, AFAIK.

I believe there is a hard limit of 10 years. You could theoretically sneak in a two extra years if you inherit the position and can be elected to two 4-year terms if you haven't exceeded 10.
