(Anonymous) 2008-07-09 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)162. I hate to admit this, because I too tend to like the female characters in Shounen, but I am with you on this one. I wouldn't bash her, of course, because she isn't a bad person or anything. But she is a Yamato Nadeshiko, a character type that I absolutely loathe, and I find her incredibly boring. I have the same problem with Kairi, actually, but she isn't around as much. Haru could have been better, if she hadn't been stripped of every attribute that made her awesome. I like characters with depth and personality quirks; both traits that Kyoko conspicuously lacks. I suspect that she's just around to offset the Ho Yay, and therefore isn't important enough to get any development whatsoever.
