I think we'll be dealing with a lot of consequences next season. Consequences to Dean after he's been in hell, and consequences for Sam about what he had to do to get him back.

Yeah, I don't want spoilers. I am good with my own conclusions, which are very similar to yours. I just hope they don't take half the season or longer to get Dean back.

I don't think they've got the budget required to keep Dean in hell for half a season, not to mention the entire show is basically carried on the shoulders of Sam and Dean's relationship.

It would be nice with a couple of episodes though. Enough for Dean to get scarred, and Sam to go off the deep end a bit and maybe bond with Bobby some.

I wouldn't argue with a couple episodes. See Sammy fall apart a bit, same for Dean. Then pick each other up.
