(Anonymous) 2008-07-10 04:26 am (UTC)(link)As a quiet, normal teenage girl who likes guro, I can't thank you enough for posting this secret. It's actually a thing I'm terrified to admit, even on fandom secrets. It feels very good to know I'm not alone. ~_~ I actually had a very similar experience when I was seven involving the Fantasia Dinosaurs that horrified me for a good few years after I realized what was going on. I'm an honest-to-god pacifist that feels guilty when she kills even bugs, so I completely understand the feeling.

It's not real, and we'd never do such things to anyone in real life, but if we even so much as hint that we like that stuff... the labels and judgment... so much pressure. God, why did I have to end up with weird kinks? 8( Ghrhghlaskjdjghr

Still, I can never judge anyone else for what they're into, since it's kind of obvious you can't control it. I've actually heard there's something in the brain's temporal lobe that connects sex to violence if it's miswired. As an other example, people have foot fetishes because the sensory area for the foot occasionally overlaps into the sex sensory area. It's just how certain brains are made up.
